What Festival Insider is
Festival Insider publishes festival travel guides: where to stay, how to get there, getting in and out, things to do nearby, and the survival details that usually only come from experience. We don't publish news, line-up announcements or artist reviews.
It was founded by Chris Taylor, based in Fareham, Hampshire. The guides are built with contributors who've actually been.
How coverage works
- A structured travel guide, not a review. Each festival gets one guide in a fixed format: quick facts, places to stay with pros and cons, transport, entry and exit, food and drink, a survival checklist and FAQs.
- Attending changes the label. After we attend, the guide is refreshed and can carry the Verified – Attended label, dated, with the contributor named. Sections we couldn't check stay honestly labelled.
- Logistics, as we found them. We write up what travellers need to know, including the hard parts like traffic, queues and exits, because that's what makes the guide useful.
