Festival-insider.com has relaunched in a new guise, one year on from what I am now affectionately calling “version one”. So you might consider this milestone a birthday post too!
What started as a nagging idea in the back of my mind in 2012 – creating a central resource for music festival travel and tourism – is now presented to you as a fully-fledged user generated listings and reviews website.
You are the Festival Insiders. You know the coolest places to hang out whilst travelling in a festival city; how much they cost, what the dress code is and how to get there. You have the best stories to tell about your experiences at the festival too: what to bring, what to forget, where the best camping or food spots are.
Use this website to get your knowledge out there for other festival goers. Festival-insider.com aims to be your default place to go, where your other online searches, forum comments and social media questions about visiting a festival abroad may have otherwise been left unanswered.
You can contribute to this site’s development by adding a business listing about a must see landmark, your favourite cocktail bar, an open top bus tour, water park or restaurant. All types of business listing are free to post for a limited time.
If you’ve visited an unforgettable venue on your travels then review it on our listings pages. Let your fellow travellers and festival goers know about the best thing on a cafe menu, or how much they might need to bring to shop in a high-end city shopping market.
If you have a passion for a particular festival topic or would like to write a country, city or town travel guide, I’d love to hear from you.
For now I hope you’ll find the current information on the site useful. We have a long way to go but with your help, Festival Insider will be the number one destination for festival discovery and tourism.
Happy Birthday to you, the Festival Insider community. The party starts right here!
