We hope you’re doing well and enjoying the sunshine. It’s beginning to feel a bit more like summer, isn’t it? As if all that Vitamin D wasn’t enough, we also come bearing news of some particularly exciting new ventures from Team EOTR, as well as the chance to win tickets to End Of The Road Festival 2021! Get the lowdown on our new record label, new coffee shop and ticket competition below…
Whilst the pandemic quite obviously hasn’t been amazing for live music, we’ve really felt for new emerging bands who were just getting going before Covid cruelly stopped them in their tracks.
One of the best parts of putting on End of the Road, as well as booking some all-time favourites, is inviting our brand new favourite bands to play, who in turn might then go on to become your new favourite band as well.
With that in mind we hatched the plan over lockdown to start End of the Road Records as a platform to introduce you, our fellow music fans, to some of the new acts from around the world that are blowing our minds.
We’re honoured to be launching the label with London’s Modern Woman and their debut single ‘Offerings’ along with a music video directed by Sandra Ebert.
After we stumbled across a Modern Woman live show at the beginning of 2020, completely by accident having never heard a note of their music, we were hooked. So much so, some of you might recognise them as we invited them to play last year’s digital edition of EOTR.
You can also see them playing this year’s festival, along with a host of live dates starting with two socially distanced gigs at London’s Brixton Windmill on June 19th.
Support for both shows comes from Broadside Hacks – A new folk supergroup featuring members of Sorry, Goat Girl, Caroline, Girl Ray & Katy J Pearson – and whilst the evening show is already SOLD OUT there are a handful of tickets left for the matinée HERE if you’re quick…

Not content with only setting up a Record Label during lockdown, we reflected on what else we were passionate about and decided to jump head-first into the world of coffee. Cue the next 9 months of enthusiastically researching, sourcing, learning and building on our existing knowledge. We went around various different roasteries sampling all kinds of coffee, and to our surprise it was in the Tate’s roastery housed behind Tate Britain, where our taste buds came alive. It’s an even greater pleasure to know that the coffee we buy from them supports a network of female-owned farms as part of the Tate’s Gender Equality Project.
This is just the beginning of something we’re all very excited about – starting with a mobile specialty coffee bar situated in the grounds of St. Mary’s Church in London’s Stoke Newington – open 8am until 5pm everyday. You can join our mailing list here and follow our journey over on Instagram here.
