A new UK festival, Dockyard Festival, at Hoglands Park, Southampton, has been revealed by the organisers of this year’s South Central Festival and the line up teased via Facebook Messenger.
Dockyard’s announcement, which South Central mailing list subscribers received via email this evening, encourages fans to guess the headliners for the new Hampshire-based (we think) festival via an interactive Messenger bot – a novel and clever piece of engagement indeed.
All we actually know about Dockyard is that it will take place on Saturday 28 September at Hoglands Park, presumably Southampton, due to the organisers’ home-base in Hampshire and that some big event nights and promoters, On a Mission, Switch, Kaluki and Foreverland, have put their names to it. A website, dockyardfestival.co.uk, has also been set up with an email webform to join a mailing list.
